Brandon D. "Bubba" Meyers
Cpl. Brandon David Meyers, USMC, age 25, a true American
hero, left our world too soon on June 28, 2013. He was born
April 8, 1988 in Joliet, IL.
We welcomed Brandon home November 14, 2010 and now its time
to pray God will take care of him.
Brandon is survived by his devoted parents, David and Wendy
Meyers of Plainfield, IL; his loving sister, Tiffany Meyers of
Plainfield, IL; his grandparents, George and Shirley Ketchmark
of Homer Glen, IL; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins
and friends.
Bubba was a 2006 graduate of Plainfield Central High School.
He joined the US Marine Corps right away and after completing
basic training he served two tours in Iraq. Bubba spent
countless hours working on cars with his dad, and was currently
restoring his '68 Chevelle. He also loved spending time riding
his Yamaha motorcycle and enjoying the many freedoms in life
that he fought to preserve for all Americans. He always enjoyed
spending time with his sister, whether they were shooting pool,
kayaking or just talking about what was going on in each other's
lives. Most of all Bubba was a true friend. He possessed a heart
of gold and generously gave anything he had to someone who
needed it more than he did. He was proud of who he was, who he
became and proud of the years he gave to his country.
