Sgt. Bradley H. Beste formerly of Naperville A
Mass of Christian Burial for Sgt. Bradley H. Beste, 22, will be
celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, at St. Raphael Church, 1215
Modaff Road, Naperville. Interment will be in Abraham Lincoln
National Cemetery, Elwood. Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m.
today, at Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home, 44 S. Mill St.,
Naperville. Born Oct. 23, 1983, in Berwyn, he died Friday, Aug.
4, 2006, in AR Ramad, Iraq. Bradley was a graduate of Neuqua
Valley High School class of 2002, where he was involved on the
wrestling team. Bradley enjoyed all sports at the Naperville
Park District. He was a member of St. Raphael Church. He was a
sergeant in the Army, serving in Iraq from May 2003 until August
2004. He received a Purple Heart in his first tour of duty. He
re-enlisted for duty in 2005, in Iraq with the First Calvary
Unit. He was also a lifeguard for the Heritage YMCA. Surviving
are his parents, Jeffrey A. and Denise M. Beste of Carthage,
Texas, formerly of Naperville; siblings, Jared J. Beste, Emilie
Virginia Beste and Matthew J. Beste; maternal grandparents,
Joseph and Rita Johnson; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Harry and
Virginia Beste.
